The Great Depression was a time between 1929-1942 where the world was at a great loss economically. Over 12 million jobs were lost in America alone. Over 9,000 banks failed and citizens lost over $140,000,000,000. The Depression started in 1929 when the stock market crashed, and it didn't end until the beginning of World War II. The Depression did not only occur in the United States, many countries all over the world went into the depression as well.
